Summary: Grinnell College, a highly selective residential liberal arts college, is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator, an essential team member in the Division of Student Affairs. The Residence Life Coordinator is a student-centered, collaborative, and intentional educator who supervises student staff and manages a residential learning community of approximately 250 students. The Residence Life Coordinator is - first and foremost - a residential educator, responsible for creating and sustaining a community of learners that reside in a self-governing environment. Due to a combined Residence Life and Orientation department, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is energized by the opportunity to grow as a generalist in Student Affairs and to contribute to a successful department that is focused on student learning and achievement. Innovative program planning and implementation (including new student orientation), supervision of a highly-talented student staff, frequent personal and group advising, managing small residence hall facilities, and serving in on-call duty rotation/crisis response are the primary duties. A quarter-time professional development opportunity in department or another functional area within student affairs (e.g., academic advising, international student affairs, harm reduction, social justice, student activities, student leadership, violence prevention, wellness) is included. Qualifications: An earned master's degree in higher education administration, college student personnel, counseling or other area relevant to student affairs. Experience and skills: excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to work independently, as a member of the student affairs team, and with a highly selective student population within a rigorous academic setting; program development; outcomes assessment; working effectively in a diverse environment; responding to crisis and emergency situations; handling and protecting sensitive and confidential information and records; knowledge of and/or experience with selective, residential liberal arts campuses; understanding of and appreciation for college student development issues, and the student affairs field in general. Preferred
Qualifications: Live-in experience at a small, residential college or university; knowledge of and experience working with students in transition; knowledge of and appreciation for the Grinnell College tradition of student self-governance.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
